Ovella Ruth Booker, 83, of Pueblo, Colorado passed away on October 23rd peacefully in her home.

She was born on October 17, 1941 in Pritchett, Colorado to Eunice Emma and Leonard L Wear.

Being one of thirteen, she was the youngest daughter.

Ovella lived a quiet life with her husband and six children in their Pueblo home.

She enjoyed music and played the piano and accordion. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved singing hymns during church services. She also loved crafting and sewing, had a great sense of humor and loved playing pranks. She had a passion for keeping us in sweets with baking and candy making. She was famous for her Applesauce Spice Cake with Easy Penuche Icing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thomas Booker, her parents, and many siblings. She is survived by children, Emily Hughes, Duane Hughes, Marty Viningre (Chris), Art Booker (Sandy), Tom Booker (Jennifer), and Stan Booker (LeaAnn). Also survived by siblings, Esther Emerick, Cecil Wear, and Larry Wear, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, 3220 W Pueblo Blvd., Pueblo, Colorado 81005. Burial immediately following at Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Acero Ave. Pueblo, Colorado 81004. Reception following burial at the church.
