I first met Mickey in the late 1950s when I was hired on as a lifeguard/swimming coach at the Minnequa Club. Mickey was an outstanding swimmer who got better and better each year. He was easy to coach and a pleasure to be around. It was not surprising to me that he became such a good family man and had great success in all his professional endeavors. My sincere condolences to the family and his many friends.
I was 14 years old when I met Mickey. It’s very hard to lose lifelong friends. Years later, I met his sweet wife, Irene, and reconnected with Mickey at El Pomar functions. I remember his incredible smile.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Irene, his children, grandchildren and all his family.
Mickey had one of those smiles that always made others smile. We were friends in high school, and although I did not see him very frequently after that, mainly at class reunions, I always have thought of his smile as one to be remembered. We are all better for having known Mickey.
Dear Irene: I know you will miss your dear Mickey! I was fortunate to spend some time with you both “ back in the day “
My best, Sue Woodward
Irene,
Rich and I are so sorry about Mickey’s passing. We have known him for so many years, and always enjoyed him. Please know that you and all the family are in our prayers in the days ahead.
Mickey was an amazing person. He helped keep me sane during an insane time in banking at Community Banks of Colorado and I was thrilled to work with him again at PB&T Bank. No one will ever forget the comedy team of Mickey Moore and Kim Bennett! They made a stressful job fun! He will be remembered lovingly as an amazing husband, father, co-worker and friend to all. Hugs to all who had the joy of knowing Mickey.
Mikey was such a good, kind, funny & thoughtful loving person. He had a great smile & friendly personality. We went to South H S together & was a very good athlete. Always showed such genuine interest, concern & care for all in his life. God bless my buddy Mickey. I so wished I could have seen him again & visited. I will miss him forever. Ralph Gonzalez
Irene and family sorry to hear of Mickey’s passing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sorry to hear of Mickey’s passing. I enjoyed working with him at American Federal Savings. Sending you a big hug.
Very sorry to hear of Mickey’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with Mickey at Pueblo Bank and Trust when I started my career in banking back in 1976. Mickey was a mentor to me and anything I didn’t know or understand he was always available with an open ear. Like Mickey I also moved around to enhance my career and we again worked together at US Bank. My condolences to Irene and all of the family over the loss of Mickey.
We are so sorry for the loss of Mickey.

Mickey, you were such a big part of my childhood. I remember “safe driving” and your awesome pole trick. I also remember you coming to our rescue when my dad had his heart attack. You kept my mom company during a terrible time. You were an incredibly kind and funny man. I will miss you dearly. I wish I could have seen or spoken to you before it was too late. I will love you forever. I wish I could have told you.
Britt, Matt, Dayton and I are so very sorry to hear about the loss of Mickey. Irene and all his beloved family members, please know our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Mickey was one of the kindest, most positive and joyful individuals that anyone could ever be blessed to know. His ever-present smile, laughter and wisdom will be dearly missed. Heaven has gained another beautiful angel.
Jan & I will miss you my friend what a wonderful relationship we had with you for 60 years. Mickey was one of my
best friends going to High School, 1 year of college at Western State and being in our wedding on August 31st,
1968. We continued being close and had lunch with Mickey and Irene just a couple of weeks ago. He always
made us laugh mostly about memories shared. Thoughts and prayers are extended to all your family and friends.
God Bless

Mickey and I were classmates through junior high and high school and shared a long, lovely friendship. He achieved a lot in the business world and was well respected by his co-workers. He was a warrior in the fight against cancer and always had hope. He loved watching his grandchildren in all their activities. The last time we talked, he was so excited to be able to bike again. You will be missed my friend. May God surround all the family with peace at this time.
Sending love and prayers,
Bennie and Jim Swanson
