Joann Yvonne Gann, 94, of Rye, Colorado, passed away July 13, 2024, at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo. Joann was born on July 4, 1930, in Wray, Colorado, the daughter of Kenneth Lee and Mildred Shanlep Rounds. Joann married her husband of more than 57 years, William Lee Gann, Sr., on December 18, 1949, in Englewood, Colorado, whom preceded her death in August of 2007. Joann is survived by her children, William “Bill” Lee Gann Jr., Rye, CO, Robert Warren (Lawana) Gann, Amarillo, TX, Patricia Ann Ferguson, Rye, CO, Sandra Kay (Trey) Williams, Glen Rose, TX; and grandchildren, Dr. Katie Gann, Kristin Cassels, Adam Gann, Brittany Ferguson.
Joann always loved the outdoors with her family when they were young. She always longed for another Bulldog as “they were owned by 4 of them.” She loved her nightly Jeopardy challenges, had quite the taste in so many different genres of music, good taste in beer and never hesitated to try a new dark brew…but only one a day, and visiting with her family, neighbors and friends when she was out at the store or when the came by or called. She had so many one liners that even when she wasn’t feeling well, she made you laugh, this is who she was and what she did.
Family is planning a get together at her home at a later date.
Hope you are doing okay, Pattie, in this time of sadness. You and your family have our prayers and blessings.
Love,
George
There hasn’t been a moment since you left that I haven’t forgotten you. Your smile, your charm, your wit, your laugh, all of what makes you you. Your jokes…Your one liners were the best, at least I know where I get it.😁 I know you are now at peace and at sleep once again with Dad. Thank you for being my Mother for so many years…for that I am forever grateful. I miss you terribly already but that is ok….you deserve sleep. Hugs and love to all our family there already. I love you Mom.❤️🥰🙏 God Bless You.😘😘 Rillie Mae send smoothies too.
I’m sorry for your loss, but most of all I’m sorry for us who will not get to see her again. She will be greatly missed. Donna Force
