Janet Kay Tooker, 78, of Fowler Colorado died at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Pueblo, Colorado in 1945 to Gerald and Majorie Perkins. Janet retired from the Pueblo Regional Center after 31 years of service working with the developmentally disabled, then spent about another decade working with Inspiration Field in La Junta doing the same great work. She was a member of the Fowler Progress Club and enjoyed serving her community. She loved watching her grandkids grow up and was well known for her loud cheering at Grizzlies sporting events.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Marjorie Perkins and her sister, Linda Whitt. She is survived by her husband, Leslie J. Tooker; daughter, Heather DiOrio (Mark); grandson, Cash Anderson; Step son, Keith Tooker (Marie); and grandchildren, Micheal Fern and Brittney Tooker; brother, Gary Perkins (Gina); and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on what would have been her 79th Birthday, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1pm at the Fowler Christian Church at 107 W. Florence Avenue, Fowler Colorado. A fellowship dinner will follow the service.
