Janet Elaine (Abbott) Wills, 67, passed away on January 17, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Wills; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Wallerstedt and Patrick Duran; son, Brian Thurston; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Madison Wallerstedt and Brooke and Caleigh Thurston; and great-grandson, Lucas Budzon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Ann Abbott; sister, Laurel Brown; and niece, Sophia Swarbrick.

Janet was born on July 17, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado.  She retired as an Administrative Assistant from the Pueblo Presbytery after 25 years of service. Janet loved singing, playing the piano, crocheting, traveling on cruises, spending time with family, especially her loving husband, grandchildren, great-grandson, and her larger-than-life dogs, Phoebe and Baxter. Janet was a 37-year heart transplant survivor and a true inspiration. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Memorial service, 10 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2025, in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Donate Life America in honor of Janet at https://donatelife.net/

  4. Janet and I go back to childhood. Our families knew each other. We reconnected as adults well out of high school. What a privilege to interact with her again. She filled a large role in her family and I know she will be missed dearly.
