Glen Douglas Westlund Jr. I named my 1st son Douglas Glen Westlund on January 4 1989 after my Dad’s preferred first name. The 3rd Glen would have been too formal in my opinion. I always treated Dad with respect and dignity a parent deserves. There have been many miles of separation from our homes but love fills big gaps. I will miss my Dad dearly and at the moment I do not feel whole. I am broken with his death but will heal in time. I inherited his love of Motorcycles and his love of Man’s Best friend, his K9’s. The one thing I did not inherit was the genuine love of a wife for over 50 years. I can live with this. Carolyn Westlund is wonderful, loving individual and I am so grateful they could share lives together.
Rest in peace Dad.
Carolyn,
We were so sorry to hear the news of Doug’s home going, but thankful that he knew Jesus as Lord and Savior. I am forever grateful for the love that you guys showed me when I was younger! You will be in our prayers in the days ahead!
Love,
Chris McDaniel
You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time. It’s hard not to think of a single memory that I have during my adolescence that didn’t involve Doug being in it. He was a good man and the Good Lord has great plans for him. I remember every one of those memories you mentioned in his obituary.
They were all good times. The world truly lost a good soul. You are doing Gods work now. Rest in Peace my friend.
Thank you, Rodney. Many good memories from our 78 years in Broken Bow. Your family meant alot to us.
Love to all.
Carolyn
