Celebration of Life:

Donald G. Waller, Jr., 63, passed away on Feb. 16, 2025. He is survived by his siblings, Ruth Moore of Rocky Ford, Colo., Janette (Raymond) Espinoza of Boone, Colo., Dennis (Joyce) Waller of Joplin, Mo., and Jolene (Jim) Ridgley of Russell, Kan.; children, Pam (Chad) Morrill, Donnie White, Sheila (Joshua) Pitchford, James Waller, Caitlynn Waller, and Emily Ridgley; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Floyd Waller.

Donald was born to Donald and Betty Waller on Oct. 7, 1961, in Pueblo, Colo. and worked in the oil fields as a roughneck. He enjoyed listening to music, working on his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. An ideal evening for Donnie would have been sitting with his sister, Janette and her family listening to music with a Pepsi in one hand, a cigarette in the other while playing a good game of Zonk, and most likely cheating while belting out one of his iconic laughs that I’m sure everyone is hearing as they’re reading this.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at The Wellspring Church, 950 Victory Ln. in Florence, Colo. with Pastor George Casias officiating.

  2. CandleImageDonnie I miss you so much, days have not been the same for me, nor will they ever again. We did so much together, I have the best memories ever, you were the Best big brother I could ever of had. OH Donnie, I miss you so much, I miss your laugh, I miss your smile, I miss my Best friend. From the time we were young, we were very close, you always tried protecting me from what ever, or who ever you thought was doing me wrong, I remember one night we had planned on running away, we both slept with our shoes on, for a fast get away, we planned that when we knew for sure everyone was asleep, we would make our escape , I do bealive that was in Oklahoma, well we woke up the next morning, both of us still with our shoes on, and still there, our plan failed. Then when you turned 18, you decided, you were going out on your own, since I was only 16, I couldn’t go with you, I remember that just broke my heart, because we would end up miles and miles apart. But eventually we did live close again, and then about 20 years ago, you moved from Kansas to Colorado, needing help to get back on your feet, moved in with us, from that point on, there may have been 5 months you weren’t here, out of 20 years. We took a trip to Kansas, just you and I, visiting, and we had the best time, we laughed so much, talked so much, we both lost our voices, then driving back to Colorado like that, was such a quiet trip, but we were still laughing and trying to talk to each other, which made us laugh even harder, That is a trip we talked about for years, Donnie I know your happy with Mom, and Dad, and Floyd now, But there’s not a day that I don’t think about you, and wish I could laugh with you one more time, I Love you so much Brother, and will never forget you, so until we meet again, continue watching over me, and Rest in Peace my Brother, I will Always Love You,

  3. CandleImageDonnie, you were a precious little boy and I wish life had been kinder to you. My prayer is that you will have that love & peace now. I wasn’t in your adult life but, I never stopped loving you. Rest in peace, Donnie. Aunt Judy
