Carolyn Marie Roley, 87, of Rye, Colorado, passed away on June 2, 2024. Carolyn was born on March 14, 1937 in Pueblo, CO to William and Nellie Roley.
She is survived by her children Jeanne Graber and husband Mike, Steve Archuleta, Robert Archuleta, and Sharon Archuleta; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Roley and sister-in-law Alice Roley.
She grew up and spent the majority of her life in the mountain town of Rye, CO. She was a devoted member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, and an active member of the St. Aloysius Ladies Guild. Carolyn began working at the Roley family Drugstore at a very young age. She took pride in serving others and worked in many different capacities throughout her life and continued working until the age of 86. She loved watching her grandchildren participate and play in Rye Thunderbolt athletics and activities. She was also an avid fan of all Colorado professional sports. Around town, she knew no strangers and was known to so many as Grandma Carolyn.
Special thanks to the Neumeister and Kirkland family for all of the love and support you gave Grandma over the years. We would also like to recognize those who gave special care to her in her last days: Beth Burns, Annette Martinez, Laura Eyestone and the Sangre De Cristo Community Care and hospice staff, and the many people that took the time to visit her.
Services will be held at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Rye, CO on Saturday June 8th, 2024. The rosary will be at 9:30am, Mass at 10:00am, followed by a luncheon and burial.
