She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Melvin Ratter.

Barbara was born on June 30, 1950, to Deda Juanita and William Byrne De Frece. She retired after 30 years with the Attorney General’s Office State of Arizona. Barbara was a very young mother who dedicated her life to being loyal, wonderful, and unique and was the foundation of our family through and through. She loved knitting, crocheting, and crafting, but most of all, she loved to rescue animals of any kind and they always found a “forever home” with her. Most cherished were Sweet Pea, Kika, and Teddy Bear. Barbara loved turtles, birds, frogs, lizards, and Dobos, but above all were her “Yorkies.” She was an excellent gift-giver and always knew the right thing to say.

Barbara will be remembered by her daughters for the courage and strength she taught them and the dignity in which she faced all adversity. Her legacy will forever be remembered.

At her request, cremation in the Montgomery & Steward Crematorium with no services. Memorials may be made to a pet rescue of your choice. Online condolences at www.MontgomerySteward.com
