Andrew Paul Gettler, 35, passed away May 10, 2011. Survived by his children, Anesha and Odin of New Mexico; mother, Linda; siblings, Raymond (Jamie), Ben (Penny) and Candida 'Connie'; sister-in-law, Pamela; granny, Eleanor; close friend, Cassie; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his father, J. 'Mack'; brother, Alex; uncle, Bill; and grandparents.
Andrew was born Sept. 25, 1975, in North Platte, Neb. He was an avid photographer and graphics artist, and was working on his doctorate in business.
There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Msgr. Thomas Adrians officiating. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com
holy shit man!!! I never knew!! we ran together for almost 5 yrs when we were kids. roommates, bestfriends, wow we did a lot dude….wrecked my moms truck lol fun times…..wish I knew what happened to ya…..
It’s been a few yrs, old friend since you left! You are missed deeply! I know we never really hung out in our adult life! But the world, my world was better knowing you were on the planet making people laugh. We spent our childhood together I think we were together all the time. O the crazy things we did. Cliff jumpin, wind sailing on skates, jumping off my roof, mineral palace, walkin to the loaf on 50. So many crazy things I could go on for days. The best childhood friend ever, you were!
I can not believe you have been gone almost a year!! I miss you so much, I am so sorry I was not there for you in your time of pain… I love you Andy!!! I will be getting your tattoo done soon. You will be loved and missed forever!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you are no longer with us. You really were a joy to know, always with a smile on your face whenever I saw you. You were a talented and amazing artist!

I knew Andy and he will be missed and it brings sadness to my heart that a man loved so much is gone….I will NEVER forget him or my classmate Alex.
Sad Day….just found out about Andy. My sympathies to the Gettler family and all of those that knew him. Two toasts to he who passes. One to honor his life. One to welcome him to the halls of Valhalla.
Drew was a great friend of mine. I will always think the world of him and will miss him forever…

I met Andrew at CTU as a fellow Doctorate student. I will remember him as one of the brightest individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting. He shared with me his love for his three kids and how busy he was and wish he could spend more time with them. He is resting now and will be able to spend every minute of the day and night with them. He is at peace and God is taking care of him now. Rest in Peace Andrew!
