She loved to bowl, cheer on the Broncos and Rockies, square dance and polka dance at the Preseren picnic. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, decorating the tree, poinsettias and all things red. She liked to read, scrapbook and watch her soap operas and game shows. She especially loved to tell stories about her life including many stories about Sopris. Her favorite place was in the kitchen, surrounded by family with a wooden spoon in hand.

  1. So sorry for your loss, condolences are not enough, just know you all are in our thoughts.

  2. Alberta was a very special friend and a wonderful caring nurse. She will be forever missed as she was loved by many people. Rest in peace my dear friend love you always.

  3. Alberta was such a strong and educated woman. She made a difference with her dedication to the nursing profession.
What fueled her liveliness was her family and faith. These passions were evident especially when she was with her kids and grandchildren. She had so much love for them! She also took such good care of her parents as they aged.

May her family find the memories and love she shared to be a comfort and example for you to follow now in her absence.

  4. Alberta was the first head nurse I worked with at Parkview. She taught me so much & I enjoyed watching her interact with the nurses, aides & doctors. I especially liked the way she spent time with the patients. God bless you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi ! From my earliest memories on Sherwood lane to summers on La Vista Rd there was always one constant in my life and it was your love for me and mine for you !
There are aunts in a persons life and then a Mt Rushmore “ one of a kind “Bad Ass Legendary Aunt comes into your life and loves you with all her heart!
THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE!
From the early morning episode with Tamar the chow, her puppies and the pool table on La vista rd you were always there!
From the Fall of 1977 you and “The Orange Crush “ and I watched with our Bronco Buttons on as “THEY MADE THOSE MIRACLES HAPPEN!” We endured 4 Super Losses but in the End thanks to John Elway and Peyton Manning we finally hoisted 3 Lombardi trophies !!
You were always there and Sundays will never be the same !
From age 7 to age 50 your spaghetti and white frosted birthday cake were always there!
Your love was UNCONDITIONAL and you ruled with an iron polenta stick with a wooden spoon kicker !
    YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE!
In the simplest terms and easiest definitions you truly were An Amazing Aunt ! I’ll love you more than you will ever know and I’ll cherish our time and memories forever!

  6. I loved not only being your niece, but being your Goddaughter. We shared a special bond that I will always cherish. One of my favorite memories of you was you using the wooden spoon and breaking it on the counter when we were little kids and you wanted us to behave. I used the wooden spoon too when my kids were little. Great memory. I love you and I miss you. To my cousins who did an amazing job being caregivers and going above and beyond to take care of your mom. I know she is looking down and smiling and so proud that you did all you could for her. God bless you and your kind souls. May God bless you and your families in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Hold on tight to your memories as they will be what gets you through the rough days. I love each of you. Jennifer White
