I worked with Dorothy at Montgomery Ward in 1998, I was in high school and it was one of my first jobs. Dorothy was always so kind and warm and she made my evenings/weekends more enjoyable while working. After I graduated and moved away to college, I would still keep in touch with her and exchange Christmas cards. She was such a precious lady that impacted my life and I am sad to hear of her passing. Thoughts and prayers to her family.
My heart aches as I try to put into words the profound impact Dorothy had on my life. Working side by side with her at the Chiropractic office wasn’t just a job; it was a cherished chapter filled with her warmth and unwavering support.
She was, in so many ways, like a mother to me. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, her wisdom a gentle guide. I have so many vivid memories of those days – the shared laughter over small office moments, the quiet understanding during challenging times, and the countless moments where her kindness shone through. She had a way of making even the most ordinary tasks feel meaningful, simply by being there.
Dorothy possessed a rare and beautiful spirit. She had a way of nurturing those around her, offering encouragement and a listening ear without judgment. Her strength was quiet yet immense, and her compassion boundless. The lessons she unknowingly taught me through her example – about patience, resilience, and the importance of genuine connection – are treasures I will hold onto forever.
The world feels a little dimmer without her bright light. I will deeply miss her gentle smile, her comforting words, and the feeling of being truly seen and understood that she so effortlessly offered.
Though my heart is heavy with this loss, I am also filled with gratitude for the time I had with Dorothy. The memories we created together are precious gifts that will continue to bring me solace and remind me of the beautiful soul she was.
With deepest love and remembrance
God bless the Kettering family. May the Lord grant them healing, peace and strength. In Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen
