Filip Edward Babitz

FILIP EDWARD BABITZ, 77 years old, passed away on February 2, 2025.

6 Grandchildren: Brooke Sumners, Martina Swartwood, Matthew Sumners,
JoAnna Swartwood, Ryan Swartwood, Samantha Swartwood

Preceded in death by his First wife, Jean Babitz; and Parents, Wilma and Barto Babitz.

Filip was born September 15, 1947, in Marion, Illinois. He retired as a Teacher and Coach at School District 70. He was also a carpenter for The Drawing Room.

He enjoyed golf, Rockhunting, cutting and polishing stones and minerals, lapidary, carpentry, working in his yard.

Member of Pueblo Rockhounds, Lake George Gem and Mineral Club, Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society, Canon City Geology Club.

Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. There will be a private family ceremony held at a later date.
