Jessica “Jessie” Elizabeth Albo, devoted mother and caregiver, 86, died peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her Pueblo, Colo. home with her family by her side.
Jessie was born October 20, 1937, in Swink, Colo. to Donald Sandoval and Alicia (Carabajal) Sandoval.
After graduating from Swink High School in 1956 Jessie attended Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colo. Jessie married Victor Albo on October 24, 1959, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish in La Junta, Colo.
Jessie devoted her life to raising her four children, caring for her elderly parents, and caring for her grandchildren. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s school events, spending time in the mountains, tending to her flowers, and family road trips exploring places throughout Colorado. She was an avid reader and was interested in politics. Jessie served as a state delegate for the Democratic Party and an election judge. Through her local parish Our Lady of Guadalupe, she was active with the Swink Catholic Women’s group volunteering her time and energy to her church community. Jessie’s love for her faith was always represented in her daily life.
Jessie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Victor Albo; her children, Kathy (Richard) DeCristino Trinidad, Colo., Kevin Albo, Pueblo, Colo., Chris (Christy) Albo Brush, Colo., Alicia Albo (Dexter Smith) Irving, Texas; seven grandchildren, Ryan DeCristino, Lisa DeCristino, Erik (Elena) DeCristino, Emily (Zach) Albo, Nic (Caitlyn) Albo, Kate Albo, Lily Quintana; two great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Ezekiel DeCristino; nieces, Audrey Sandoval, Shireen Mazaheri, and Bobby Jean Jiminez; brothers–in–law, Iraj Mazaheri, Reyes Hernandez, and Jess Hernandez; and numerous family members.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Alicia Sandoval; her brother, Don Sandoval; and her sister, Linda Mazaheri.
Throughout her long life Jessie was an example of love for her family and care and compassion for others.
The family would like to express our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Sangre de Cristo Hospice Community Care and our brother Kevin for the loving care they provided for our mother.

We send our sincere condolences to Jessie’s family. Although, we may not have been in contact with Jessie and her family, we remember Jessie and Victor fondly during the time they lived in Swink. We are part of the Carvajal family. My Mom was Stella Mascarenas and We remember those large family reunions of years past.
May the memories and love she shared with you all be with you during this time of sadness.
