Julio Antonio Martinez, 76, passed away on October 6, 2023, after a long illness. He is survived by his Loving wife, Linda Martinez; Children, Mike (Lori) Martinez, Michelle (Ray) Gallegos, Melissa (Chris) Garduno, Matt (Brittney) Martinez, Shane (Ty) Altis, Alejandro (Debbie) Quintana, and Crystal (Steve) Finley; Grandchildren, Steve Martinez (Casie Arellano), Marcus (Madison) Martinez, Derek Martinez, Angelica Rodriguez, Felicia Gallegos, Justin Gallegos, Raychelle Vasquez, Raymond Gallegos Jr, Damian Gallegos, A.C Garduno, Jayce Martinez, Baylee Martinez, Kelli Griffis, Shane (Rebecca) Altis, Ashley Altis (Devyn Fontana), Rachel (Joe) San Miguel, Kaleb (Golda) Darling, Malikai (Samantha) Maes-Whitlock, Hayleigh (Sterling) Atencio, Steven (Bryanna) Finley, Zadrien Valerio and Ayonna Finley; Great-Grandchildren, Chloe, Aj, Liam, Milo, McKenna, Antonio, McKenzie, Delicia, Emaleigh, Annaleigha, Landon, Baby Atencio, Arabella, Nova, Tinsley, Levi, Xavier, Violet and Vivianna; Siblings, Pete (Rose), Tobias, Don, Zita (Jr), Ron (Sue); Numerous nieces and nephews; Godsons, Johnny (Vivian) and Anthony; and Special Friends, Ken & Louie.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Soccoro Santana; Father, Tony Martinez; Sister, Madeline Fernandez; and brother-in-law, Kelly LaDuke.

Julio was born on April 12, 1947, in Alamosa, Colorado. He worked at the Belmont Square Apartments as maintenance and the Pueblo Mall. He really enjoyed fishing, making crosses along with other crafts, spending time with his family, and sharing all of his Humor. He also loved watching football and loved his beer!

The family would Like to thank All staff with Sangre De Cristo Community Care who cared for Julio Martinez during this time. They were like Angels and made sure we didn’t have to walk through this journey alone.

Cremation has taken place at Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorials and donations may be made to Sangre De Cristo Community Care, 1920 Valley Dr., Pueblo, CO  81008, in memory of Julio Martinez.
